Knee pain

Knee pain can occur due to a variety of factors and can result in varying symptoms. Knee pain can present through the front, behind or on either side of the knee. It can result from cartilage or joint damage, poor muscle strength and even poor foot mechanics.

Patello-femoral Syndrome is one of the most common knee injuries seen and treated by our podiatrists and often presents as pain between the knee cap (patella) and the underlying thigh bone (femur).

Symptoms include increased pain through the front of the knee with exercise, when standing following long periods of sitting or when climbing stairs. The team at Walk On Podiatry are able to provide a thorough assessment enabling them to diagnose your knee condition and develop a management plan specific for you.
